When i'm doing crunches, i get this sharp pain in my abdominal area after doing 15. And then when i stop, the pain slowly goes away. But this pain is not a burning pain, it's stabbing pain. When i do declined sit-ups on the bench thingy, and i do like 70 i get a burning feeling and it's different from the feeling i get from doing crunches. What can cause the pain when doing crunches? Is it my form, or do i have to go slow? Because i do the 15 crunches kind of fast and i shake on the way down when performing the crunch.

There's no way to know the source of your pain. However, you should stop doing crunches at least until you find out what the pain means.
The more you stress or challenge your body, the more things you will discover. Often they will be things which set your apart from the general population. We are all different and as different on the inside as on the outside. So, don't be alarmed if you're not like everyone else. If you experience the pain in other ways such as pressing on your abdomen, you probably should see a doctor. If the only way you can make the pain present is to do crunches, just don't do them. You don't need to do them anyway especially if you're doing situps. And, never do them fast. Slow, controlled movements are best for almost all exercises that don't require speed. No jerking, thrusting, or sudden, sharp movements.
A couple of years ago I had to have a double right side inguinal hernia repaired surgically. It was only a 45 minute outpatient procedure and quite a simple thing. However, it cost $14,000 and I got the hernia doing an ab crunch. I used bad form (didn't have knees bent) and I paid dearly for that mistake. And, I'm 62 and have been training for 40 years. So, the moral to that story is; know what you're doing before you do it and then do it right.
Good luck and good health!!
