Just about all of them; really.

Obviously dogs, cats, ferrets, horses, and other mammals, but it has been my experience that pet snakes, lizards, and even fish recognize their owners.

Snakes tend to prefer certain people or their owners over others. I know whenever I am handling one of my snakes and someone else wants to hold them, if I hand them over and I remain within slithering distance, the snake will stick it's neck and body as far out as it can possibly reach in my direction trying to get back on me.

I've had several times when I've seen a family member's fish recognize them and get excited, thinking they are about to get fed, whenever their owner walks by their tank, or a friend's iguana, tegus, or water monitors follow them around the house like giant scaley puppies. :-)

So in conclusion, just about any animal who has day to day contact with humans, regardless of the species, will learn to recognize people whom they see on a regular basis.

I think it would be easier to list those pets that don't recognize their owners face. Our dogs, cats (can spot us down the block in our car), rabbits, chickens, I think our leopard geckos do but not their crickets (food) or maybe not our goldfish. I think the fish might just recognizes our movements/patterns when we feed it but then again, we just got it. Definitely rats, mice, guinea pigs, birds, etc, etc.

So I'd say insects don't and some fish. My guess it that most others do.

well it wouldn't really matter wich animal. if u got a pet from someone else it would be much difficult for them to recognize u. but if u bought a pet that never had an owner before and spend more time with it, then im sure they will recognize u

I had a german shepherd/red doberman mix. Her name was Niki and she weighed 90 pounds. I got her when she was 6 weeks old. She knew my face for sure. She would sleep with me. Take her paws and paw me when she wanted me to get up and let her out. She found my one night at my sisters house which was 2 miles from my house. She could open and shut the door. She couldn't stand for me to even close the bathroom door. She would take showers with me. I had to give her away to go take care of ex-husband who had a stroke. She lived about 13 miles away and she found her way back to my apartment and when I wasn't there she went another 4 blocks to my friends house and knocked on the door. It was unbelieveable. She was a good and very smart dog. I know if I saw her today she would remember me and give me kisses like she used to.

almost any kind of creature with eyes can do that. that is the point of sight, the ability to recognize things in the outside world. while it might not be just faces though. but animals can usually tell when a predator is around and needs to hide. thats recgonition and thought.

All animals. They are smarter than people give them credit for.

My mom's fish recognize her, and come to the front of the tank when she's in the room, stranger walks in, they go to the back.

Goats, horses, pigs, cows, dogs, cats, etc.

Seems like a lot actually, standard pets like dogs and cats, birds, probably not fish or lizards, horses know you, so do burros and donkeys, I don't know if gerbils and hampsters do.

Horses, mules, cattle, tame deer, monkeys, goldfish (fish, but nonetheless), elephants, dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, and I'm sure many more, but my brain just quit - sorry!
