Brownish red discharge only when i wipe?
is that considered a light period or just spotting?? my last period was normal flow and it was on June 26... i'm still very irregular because i've only had it for a year. and definitely not pregnant (virgin) lol (:
Update:also i usually get really sore boobs and feel bloated, but right now i don't. the only thing is i have a huge craving the past few days for any salty foods..?

yep, that's normal. You're just having a light period. Or it could just be the beginning of your period. Some take a while to get going if you've only started having them in the past 2 years
The diference between a "light period" and "spotting" is minimal. I supose the best answer is that the diference would depend on exactly when your body decide to ovulate as to weather or not you would define it as a "light period". If you are very irregular, you may not be able to tell the diference ulsess your cycle comes with other symptoms like mood swings or cramping.
