I have been wearing glasses since I was in first grade. My eyes were fine then; I rarely need to wear them. My mom even told me I could take them off when I went to recess, but I didn't and now I'm so dependent on them that my eyesight is horrible. I am naturally farsighted but over the years my glasses prescription has been stronger and I feel almost blind now. I'm only 16 and I just got contacts last summer, but the circles under my eyes are so visible that I would rather wear glasses. Can glasses make circles under eyes and is there any way to get rid of them. I get plenty of sleep and I don't want to cover it up with makeup so any ideas? (I really think its my glasses prescription. It is so strong I can see the thickness of the lense and when I take my glasses off it takes my eyes awhile to adjust to the environment)

Your vision is getting worse because you are growing. This is completely normal. Your vision would have gotten worse with or without glasses.
If you're concerned about the thickness of your lenses, talk to your optician about high index lenses, which won't be as thick.
The circles are unrelated.
You are seeing the circles under your eyes for the first time. They would be there one way or the other. Start saving your money and see if you can get Lasik in a few years. In the mean time, get some under eye makeup concealer that puts a lighter makeup color under your eyes. That will get rid of the dark circles. You can do this while wearing your contacts so that you can see the affect.
Your eyes are getting more of whatever they are. This is something that happens in growing up; it has nothing to do with your wearing your glasses more often and becoming dependent on them. You mother wanted you to take off your glasses at recess so they would not get broken. Glasses are expensive. If you get plastic lenses, they will be thinner. The problem with plastic lenses is that they get scratched easily.
Well that doens't make any sense. I had classes for most of my childhood and my dark circles never got worse. They do cause a dark patch on the side of your nose where the glasses sit on your nose but it usually fades away after like 10 minutes after talking off your glasses.
glasses & glasses Rx's don't make dark circles under eyes.
and
"plastic" lenses are not "thinner"
