If you have the same model of RAM but different version would it be compatible?
Update:Okay, what i meant is that i have two ddr3 RAM and the model of the sticks (CMX~~~~) are the same on but on one of them it also says ver 2.3 and on the other 9.1.
Everything about them is the same except for the version number

do you mean like DDR, DDR2, DDR3
