in catching fire do the tributes get to work as a team or it still like the hunger games where only one will be able to live because it seems like they are working together a lot.

well the tributes were not supposed to work as a team, but katniss and peeta allied with the others (Finnick, Johanaa, Wiress (Nuts), Beetee (Volts), Mags to help katniss escape the arena and begin the rebellion.
peeta and katniss wore a black suit and a "half crown like the one I received as victor on my head, but it's made of a heavy black metal, not gold" (p.206). at a press of a buttonin the fabric in the wrist, the "ensemble slowly comes to life, first with a soft golden ligh but gradually transforming to the orange-red of burning coal" (p. 206), resembling an ember. they were told to not smile and act as if they were unforgiving for sending them back in.
