Hello ladies, I am 21 years old and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost a year now. My cycles are normally 28 or 29 days. Normally what happens is this, the day that I expect my period it always starts out as light pink spotting , sometimes watery, then a few hours later bright red. This cycle however , today is the day of my expected period and up until about 5 minutes ago, nothing, but when I wiped there was quite a bit of watery ark brown discharge. This is the very first time it's ever happened to me. My husband and I had sex around ovulation, and my boobs were sore the next week. Could this brown discharge mean I'm pregnant?
Update:My sisters gyn told her brown discarge.is old blood. She had this instead of her period , he said something to the affect of decidual bleeding. So yes it could be a sign of pregnancy,

Actually, watery brown fluid is often the start of menstruation, since the first part of the uterine lining to flow out is water, and this, mixed with the first light bleeding, produces a pale brown color.
A week after ovulation is VERY early to start having pregnancy signs. The egg itself needs 8-10 days to even implant after ovulation and start releasing the high amounts of estrogen that produce symptoms.
You could still be pregnant, though. I'm not ruling that out. However, if it were implantation spotting from ovulation, you would have seen it 8-10 days after you ovulated, not now, this late in your cycle.

Brown discharge is not a sign of pregnancy. If this does not turn into a period, you should see the GYN because abnormal bleeding or discharge is something to have checked out.
