So I recently used my credit card to pay for an online college textbook from a website. The website used PayPal to do the transaction. A couple weeks later, I get an email from from @paypai.com or something, and they tell me that my PayPal account isn't working or they need to validate my information. Looking back at it now, it definitely looks like a scam (it was in my Spam folder; but a lot of things are that aren't span). Anyway there was an attachment that I opened and started to fill out my information, First Name, Address, and even my Credit Card number (not the CSS number though). I stopped when the form asked for my SSN, which generally, is a question that never comes up in any form. If it does, there's always an "Optional" marked next to it. Immediately suspicious, I began to backspace the information I had put in, and x'ed out of the Attachment. Did whoever was scamming me get my information? I didn't click the submit button; only filled out the information and quickly erased.
Additional Details
My main concern is whether or not they got the information I had typed in, but later backspaced. Yeah, I didn't submit any of it (so relieved), but is there anyway that as I was typing, someone could see the information without having the need to submit anything at all?

u don't need to worry at all !!
until and unless u press submit button, no information could be sent !
but then to precaution change ur credit card password, and check ur bank related to amount withdrawn.
u should always take care while filling any form or giving information about ur bank account.
because bank never asks u for any information related to ur account through email.
so take care !!
BEST OF LUCK !!

If you didn't enter that information on a website or send in the attachment then you are safe. If you still have a copy, forward it to [email protected]
Paypal will never send you an attachment asking for that information
