I agree with what everyone else wrote with one exception. If your ASUS tablet is running Windows 8.1 RT, you will not be able to run Firefox.
I have an ASUS tablet I bought from AT&T and it's RT (has a sticker across the top that says "Powered by Windows RT". It will only run Metro/Modern interface applications.
There will be a version of Firefox for RT, but as of right now, it is not generally available.
Yes, Mozilla Firefox will work in Windows 8.1. However, it will NOT work in Windows 8.1 rt. The whole philosophy of Windows 8.1 rt appears to be geared to be MS and/or MS Partnered only for all installations and operations. Will this change? That is completely unclear to me. MS is treating Windows rt like it is an upgrade from the strait Windows 8.1. But a reality check seems to reveal that functionality and capability are being removed and locked out. In my opinion, that is not an improvement, and I don't get the feeling that this is going to change. Microsoft seems to be promising that Windows 10 will be a little more like Windows and a little less like Apple. Maybe that will be a good solution? We won't know until around mid-2015. Many of us need a solution a little more quickly than that.
