Windows 7 startup issue?
When booting up my laptop i get as far as the "Starting Windows" screen with the pulsating Windows logo. Then it goes onto load but the screen ramains fully black(no flashing cursor etc) just plain black.
I can then move onto the log in screen by pressing the power on/off button for 2 seconds ( goes into standby) then pressing it again which causes windows logon screen to appear.
I dont mind having to do this but i imagine after a few weeks it will become frustrating. If anyone could let me no if they've heard of this issue before and can give me an idea of how to fix it i would be very grateful.

Go into your control panel then power options and make sure you haven't got it set to standby or hibernate.
I have had this problem too,not sure why it happens the only thing I have thought is that I may not have pressed the start button hard enough to fully connect. I then switch off and press it again.
Probably not much help but maybe someone else has a clue.
Sounds like a malware problem try IO bit malware remover or superanti spyware remover both are free and works well
check these option for your problem
1- may be your laptop is not compatible for windows7
2- Reinstall the window if u had windows7.
3- Ram Problem
Maybe try the system settings which can be found in all programs, accessories and then system tools
