brown liquid discharge?

When I looked at my underwear there was brown liquid and i'm not sure what it is. And it happens every time I use the restroom or just when I see it. I'm 14 and my period finished last week. I got my first period about 4 months ago.
What is it??

Sometimes before or after a period starts that will happen. I get it too. Some people call it "old blood". It's normal. Don't listen to anyone if they say you're pregnant or have an std. Birth control pills can also cause it, it does for me anyway.
