So i decided to watch School Days, since its a horror/harem, and I havent seen any good shock value in quite some time. But wow, ive always considered myself dedicated to sticking to animes once i see the episodes even if they are hard to stand. So far im up to ep 6, I literally cant stand Makoto, and I feel horrible for the other girls. I stopped for a minute and just randomly googled 'I hate Makoto', and like 10 instant forums and whatnot. I know I will finish it eventuall, but even for a 12 ep series, I dont think i can do it at once, id have to break in with another anime which I hate mixing but still. My friend likes watching harems (shes a girl, shes straight >.>), I recomend animes sometimes, but not this one, especially if your into the illusion of what most harems are like ie Ichigo 100.
So still would you recomend this anime for waht it is?
And please try not to give me spoilers, even though i already know its gonna be bad.

Ok I m not differ from u when it comes down to this series,I mean it took four bloody month for me to watch this series completely cause I really hated Makuto and I really felt pitty for stupid girls in that anime(specially for Sekai who is my fav SD girl)but still I recommend this anime not for Harem or Ecchi but for the story and to be honest for the End which is shocking but not unexpected(I wont say a word cause its going to ruin the story).
I think this is one quite amazing anime which can challenge the mentality which says that Harem always has one quite happy ending(at least for one girl)but this is different and imo u should have to complete this series..u will like it from 9 th episode when tide starts to turn on Makuto.
If you hate Makoto (as we all do) and are looking for some good shock value, then the final few episodes should be right up your alley. So I would suggest sticking with it, because whether you love it or hate it, the ending to School Days is one hell of a unique experience.
Honestly, School Days ONLY gets all it's hype and fans soley because of what it does for an ending.
It gets intense the last few episodes. But overall it wasn't good yet it wasn't bad. I'd only recommend it to people who are bored and want to watch something effed up.
But to your friend, i would say only if she has can handle huge drama and a REALLY effed up ending. (i tried not to spoil it for ya)
