HELP!!! Which sentence 'SOUNDS BETTER'....? SENTENCE 1 or 2...?
Hi. I am thinking of including either sentence 1 or 2 in a law personal statement. Please suggest which sentence sounds better. Thanks
***SENTENCE 1***
""This degree has also taught me the relevance of applying legal analytical skills to specific legal problems in commercial law."
***SENTENCE 2
"I have also acquired the ability to apply legal analytical skills to many legal problems in commercial law."

"I have also acquired the ability to apply legal analytical skills to problems specific to commercial law."

you need to simplify it. In sentence two, leave out the first "legal" and it will read better. Leave out the second "legal" and it sounds better yet.
Just my opinion.
By changing "degree" to "field of study," the 1st one would work well in a narrative, oral or written. The 2nd one would work adequately only in a very short resume.
I like sentence 2 better! :)
I like two the most. It is worded better.
i like 2...because you were not just taught it you learned it.and because its shorter.but i like jackass the movies so don't listen to me.
