Hi. I am thinking of including either sentence 1 or 2 in a law personal statement. Please suggest which sentence sounds better. Thanks.
***SENTENCE 1
"Throughout my 2 undergraduate degrees at Trent University, I was involved in various activities."
***SENTENCE 2
"Throughout my 2 undergraduate degrees at Trent University, I participated in a wide variety of student organizations."

Throughout my two undergraduate degree studies at Trent University, I was actively involved in a wide variety of student organisations.
1, participated sounds like you did a little, involved sounds like you did a lot. Maybe rephrase like; "Throughout my 2 undergraduate degrees at Trent University, I was involved in a wide variety of student organizations."
"Neither."
Have your cake and eat it, too...but make yourself the focus of attention, not Trent University:
"I was involved in various activities and I participated in a wide variety of student organizations while earning my two undergraduate degrees at Trent University."
an alternate is this:
"While earning my two undergraduate degrees at Trent University, I was involved in various activities and I participated in a wide variety of student organizations ."
Spell out "two."
Two shows greater sophistication
I think sentence two is more specific. i like it better.
I would say #1
Good luck!
two.
