student grant - step parents?
my household income would not qualify me for any student grant.
this is because my stepdad earns lots.
however my mum alone earns much less and i would qualify if she was my only parent. why do they say 'household income' i wont see a penny of my stepfathers money so why do the government assume i do? this is v unfair.

You may think it is unfair and I know you are only venting here since there is nothing you can do about it. It is what it is. Pick a cheaper school, get a job or beg your mom to get a divorce just until you finish school. (just kidding on the last one). You are not alone. lots of kids with the same complaint all day, every day
